With her work found in various public and private collections, and with exhibitions at important galleries in Spain and abroad (Argentina, France, Switzerland, The United States etc.), the name of the Barcelona artist Adela (1947) has been well-known for several years now. In its artistic evolution, Adela's work started out with a tendency towards surrealism and hyperrealism, then moved towards abstraction, until finally reaching its current form, which is more rooted in conceptual art. She has experimented with the most diverse techniques (painting, engraving, drawing, photography, collage, sculpture and installation). This process of transformation was the result of Adela's search for clarity in her visual language. Her artistic language is direct, symbolic and sensual, based on few, but essential, vigorous strokes which hold a dialogue with backgrounds of primary colours.
