Erika Barahona Ede was born in Bilbao in 1960 and studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. Since 1997 she has been the director of the department of photography at the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, and her photographic reports for GEO, Elle, Vogue, The New York Times y Washington Post are today known all over the world. She has won the International World Heritage Photo Competition and the European Prize for women photographers.
