Miguel Condé
The training of Miguel Condé (1939 Pittsburgh, 1939) began in New York, where he worked with Steven Rogers Peck. Since 1969, Condé has lived in Sitges (Barcelona). His work is characterised by a highly personal figuration where the prime elements are fantasy and the symbolic. The delicate spots of colour extend beyond the drawn line in canvases charged with poetic feeling. In the world of etching, he is considered as one of the most important contemporary masters. Condé has received different international awards and is a titular member of the Societé des Peintres Graveurs Français. Very close in recent years to the Catalan artistic community, he has exhibited his graphic work in the main art galleries of Europe and America, having received unanimous praise from the critics on both of these continents.
