Originally from Durban, South Africa, the painter and engraver Anet Duncan moved to Barcelona after having lived in France and England. In Spain, her centre of gravity has particularly been Barcelona, where she has held exhibitions at the Sala Rovira (1991), Galeria Àmbit (1996) and Pretexto d'Art (1999). She has recently participated in collective exhibitions in places as prestigious as the Maddock Gallery (2001) and the Galería Montcada (2001). Among other commendations, her work has received first prize at the Watercolour Biennal in Llançà, Girona, in 1996, and the gold medal from the Agrupació d'Aquarellistes de Catalunya in 1999.
