The painter and sculptor Joan Gardy Artigas (Boulogne, Paris, 1938) studied at the prestigious École du Louvre, before setting up his own ceramics workshop, and collaborating with Braque, Chagall and Miró, with whom he made numerous ceramic works. With his unmistakeable style and his artistic ability, Gardy Artigas's work can be seen in Catalunya at the Fundación Artigas and, since the 60s, in the most important galleries in Spain, France, Germany, Japan and Switzerland.
