About this work:
Gerard Espís world, which is recreated in his prints, is a mixture of the abstract and the concrete, of natural and artificial colours with industrial elements distributed and combined on paper in such a way that they lose their primary appearance. As well as working with different traditional resources, such as acids and dry points, the painter incorporates onto the plates grilles, pieces of leather and other elements that contribute to give to his prints that peculiar and characteristic aspect of his work. It isnt mere coincidence that his works are rich with a variety of textures, since investigation is for him a major part of the creative process.Other Artworks by Espí:
