About this work:
The influence of Mediterranean colouring, with its vibrations and lightness, can be seen in Danza de los veleros. Grass' mature work can either be the expression of states of mind or the abstraction of real images. To give a name to his spontaneous, harmonious compositions, the artist uses the musical term improvisations. The writer Basilio Baltasar also sees in them «a reflection without words».
