About this work:
Anet's source of inspiration for Enlace was the door of the famous Casa Milá (La Pedrera) in the Paseo de Gracia of Barcelona. Anet aimed at unifying her superposed and entwined «bodies» to the alveolar structure of the portal of La Pedrera. Her original idea was to depict the door in black, but an incident during the printing process made her change her mind: «I had already serigraphed the three bodies in colour and I intended to filter the black, when I lifted the screen and I saw the light projecting onto the paper through the screen. When I saw the clarity and vividness that the Pedrera portal acquired when illuminated in white, I knew it was like this I had to do the homage». The elegance of the composition, the minimalist shapes and the softness of the colours characterize Enlace rojo (Red Union) and Enlace verde (Green Union), made in memory of the Catalan architect in his 150 aniversary.Other Artworks by Duncan:
