About this work:
In Sombras (Shadows) and Residencia terrestre (Earthy Residence), the hard, deformed lines, full of life and mystery, are shown on a plate of wood, which the artist makes part of the work through his unmistakeable, manual technique. The materials he uses (predominantly wood and silicon carbide) hold the ink and produce effective blocks of colour, that are soft and greyish, with contrasts and tones that vary lightly with each print, thus giving them a unique, original touch.
