David Byrne

David Byrne was born in Dumbarton, Scotland in 1952 and lives in New York City. This is his fifth work using the book as a medium. He is known primarily as a musician, but has been making art for more than 25 years, and has been exhibiting for 10 years. Much of his work is done anonymously and publicly, most recently in a series of street posters in New York City and a series of lightboxes in Sydney, Australia.
