In 1971 he won the Primer Premio in the Competition for Young Painters (Concurso de Pintores Jóvenes) convoked by the Sala Parés, where he has regularly shown his work since 1978. The artist describes himself as a painter “of towns and of people”. His urban landscapes, interiors, and various other settings optimally unfold his intuitive capacity and his sharp sense of how to capture place. His pictures portray scenes from daily life: bars and outdoor cafés filled with people, nooks in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, streets with passers-by, and nocturnal beaches. His painting, on the basis of agile strokes and spots of colour, brings forth renewed visions of reality. Moscardó is a painter, an illustrator, and an engraver who has shown his work in Los Angeles, Florida, Mexico, and many European cities.
