Rafael Alberti

The most popular of Spanish poets, and author of some of the most beautiful poems that the Spanish language has contributed to the literary history of the 20th century, Rafael Alberti also has notable ability in the field of the plastic arts, displaying a mastery of form and a superb use of colour, which he is able to use in shimmering counterpoint, full of expressive skill.
